Focus Blog Content on Quality Over Quantity

It is an absolute truth that to build the biggest possible following from your online marketing efforts that you’ve got to deliver content on a regular basis.  What seems to confuse those new to the inbound marketing game though is the broad sense of the term “regular basis.”

While it would be fantastic if you could deliver high quality, useful and completely original updates every single day, most small business owners simply don’t have the time or store of ideas to do so.  This doesn’t mean that you should fill your blog and social media profiles with rehashed news stories from other sites just for the sake of having a new update for readers.

You’ll build much more trust in your readers and foster a much more favorable online image for your business if you only deliver the highest quality content, even if it occurs slightly less frequently.  Your prospects have connected with you on social networks and follow your blog because they are hungry for information.  If all that comes from your updates and new posts is reworked content that they’ve already been exposed to from another source, they probably won’t be eagerly awaiting your future updates.

Take the time to learn exactly who your readers are and exactly what they are looking for and generate original content that will be of use.  By focusing on giving the reader what they are looking for rather than adhering to a pre set schedule you’ll ultimately generate more interest in your brand, build a bigger following and generate more sales.
